Russell-Cooke takes part in the annual 'London Legal Walk' and ‘Guildford Legal Walk'

Several members of Russell-Cooke, including partners, solicitors, trainee solicitors and support staff, took part in the 8th annual 'London Legal Walk' for the London Legal Support Trust, on the evening of Monday 21 May 2012.
The event brought together over 6000 walkers from many law firms, barristers' chambers, courts and voluntary groups and was led by the Lord Chief Justice. All money raised goes to assist legal advice centres who provide vital services to vulnerable people and who are struggling from cuts to funding and legal aid.
Russell-Cooke also had another team of walkers from the Kingston office, who took a slightly hillier route through the downs behind Guildford in aid of Surrey Law Centre.
The Russell-Cooke team raised a combined total £3250, which included a generous firm donation. The London weather was kind as our walkers, clad in bright white Russell-Cooke polo-shirts, made their way over the 10 kilometres from the Royal Courts of Justice, along the Embankment, past Westminster, over Vauxhall Bridge and returning to the Law Society via the South Bank and Millennium Bridge. The walk ended at the Law Society for some much needed liquid refreshment. The London Walk had raised over £525,000 last night, with more sponsorship to be collected.
The Russell-Cooke walkers and runners were all very proud to be involved in such important and inspiring events and everyone really enjoyed the respective walks.
