Russell-Cooke partner speaks at the third annual Scottish Commercial Crime Group Conference at Hampden Park, Glasgow

Matt Bosworth, partner in the regulation team, gave a speech at the third annual Scottish Commercial Crime Group (SCCG) Conference at Hampden Park, Glasgow on Tuesday 29 May 2012.
The overriding purpose of the SCCG is to bring together representatives from various industries involved in the production, storage, carriage and re-sell of commercial goods with other industry sectors, law enforcement and customs agencies. The conference was well attended with around 250 guests including Scottish Ministers, senior members of law enforcement and industry leaders from across the United Kingdom including representatives of multi-national firms.
Matt delivered an insightful speech in relation to intellectual property and the future of sports broadcast for Sky Sports, the Scottish Premier League and the English Premier League. Matt provided clarification as to the latest ramifications of the cases of Murphy and QC Leisure and the recent Rulings of the European Court of Justice, in those matters and their interpretation by the English Court. He went on to provide a detailed overview of how Russell-Cooke LLP assists various organisations in the protection of intellectual property rights and trademarks for the civil and criminal jurisdictions.
