Camilla Thornton, partner in the family team, looks at the approach of the Court of Appeal in the case of Davies v Davies (2012) involving non-matrimonial assets and problematic evidence.

Camilla gives guidance as to when non-matrimonial assets may be excluded from the sharing principle and reinforces that overall the outcome should be fair whatever the parties' contributions.
