Semin is an Associate in the Professional Regulation team.
She studied law at Kingston University prior to undertaking the LLM, Master in Law at Kings College University. She was called to the Bar in 2005.
Semin represents clients who are serving life sentences at their Parole Board reviews, Tariff Review Applications, Local Cat-A Reviews and categorisation issues. She also has experience in all aspects of criminal defence work both at Magistrate and Crown Courts in areas such as drug offences, offences of violence, post-traumatic stress disorder, money laundering and sexual offences.
She is a police station accredited representative and often represents clients who are being interviewed under caution at police stations.
Semin assists senior members of the team in relation to matters of contentious intellectual property and regulatory/disciplinary work (both for defence and prosecution). She also has experience in Trading Standards defence work and defending individuals in relation to prosecutions brought by local authorities in relation to planning law.
