Mala is an associate solicitor in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Team where she works on cases involving road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, fatal accidents and tripping and slipping claims. Mala also assists in a range of clinical negligence claims involving the misdiagnosis of or failure to diagnose medical conditions, mismanaged births and negligently performed operations. She has a particular interest in dental claims where individuals have suffered avoidable injuries due to substandard dental treatment. Mala has experience in acting for clients making a claim to the Motor Insurers Bureau and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
Mala volunteers at the personal injury and clinical negligence clinic where she provides legal advice at the Citizens Advice Bureau in both Battersea and Merton. She is also a volunteer for the AVMA (Action Against Medical Accidents) free telephone helpline and a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Mala is one of the sponsorship officers for the South London Junior Lawyers Division which represents students, trainee solicitors and solicitors up to five years post qualification in the south London area.
Mala studied at Kings College London and subsequently undertook her legal studies at Nottingham Law School where she gained Distinctions in the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course. She was also awarded a prize by Resolution for obtaining the joint highest mark in the family law module. Mala was awarded a First Class LLB degree.
