Introduction
Our dedicated Probate Team can assist with any stage following the death of a family member or friend whether you are a Personal Representative or Beneficiary. We can provide practical advice in obtaining a grant of probate as well as assisting you with administration of the entire estate from death to distribution including the following:
- Preparing the grant application and completing the HM Revenue Account
- Advising on Inheritance tax deductions and reliefs
- Deeds of Variation and post death tax planning
- Constituting nil rate band trusts
- Advising on Insolvent Estates
- Dealing with enquiries from HM Revenue & Customs
- Advising beneficiaries
- Advising charities and unincorporated associations on gifts from estates in collaboration with the Charities Team
- Advising on Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax and completion of Tax Returns
Cross-border succession and multi-jurisdiction estate issues in collaboration with the French Team
