Andrew Studd
Andrew is a partner in Russell-Cooke's Charity team who specialises in advising charities, social enterprises, trade associations and other membership and not-for-profit organisations on a wide range of charity and company law issues, constitutional and governance matters, commercial contracts, mergers and incorporations, joint ventures and reorganisations.
Andrew joined Russell-Cooke in May 2008 from Bates Wells & Braithwaite. Prior to that, Andrew worked as in-house counsel for major international development agency, Care International UK and spent ten years in the corporate team at Ashurst where he advised on high value international transactions and management buyouts.
His recent work at his former firm includes advising Adventure Capital Fund on its bid to run the £215million FutureBuilders Fund, on a number of mergers in the charity sector including the Shaftesbury Society and John Grooms on their merger to create Livability and Victim Support on its merger with over 70 independent regional charities. He has also been advising Broadcasting Support Services on its acquisition of a privately owned fulfillment company and CORGI in relation to the renewal of the CORGI Gas Registration scheme run by the HSE. He has advised on the establishment of several new charities such as Digital Pipeline, Community Cricket Trust and the Great Generation
