Biography

Camilla Thornton

Camilla studied law at Reading University and qualified as a solicitor in 1991.  She joined Russell-Cooke in 1996 and became a partner in 1998.  In September 2006, she moved from Putney to our Bedford Row office to set up a central London family department.

Camilla advises on all aspects of divorce, separation, finances, cohabitation and children.  Her particular expertise lies in advising individuals on complex financial settlements, often involving valuable trusts, companies and high value pensions.   She also has considerable experience in relation to pre-nuptial agreements.

Camilla is a trained Collaborative lawyer.

She is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and sits on Resolution’s Standards Committee. She was a member of Resolution’s Code of Practice working party before the re-launch of the Code in 2007 and she edited the 2006 edition of Resolution’s Guide to Good Practice on Correspondence.

Camilla was praised in the 2006 edition of the Legal 500 for offering a ‘West End quality service for value for money fees.’
