Biography
David Mears
Russell-Cooke partner specialising in commercial advice as part of the Charity Team.
Specialises in advising charities and voluntary sector organisations on aspects of governance, commercial agreements, trading and fundraising and the care sector.
Prior to joining Russell-Cooke, David was Head of Legal Affairs at Leonard Cheshire, the leading disability charity. In this role David was involved in one of the leading cases on the application of the Human Rights Act and negotiated a number of transfers of care services from the public to the voluntary sector.
David is a member of the Charity Law Association and a co-author of its 2001 paper on charities and local authority contracts.
