Jae Carwardine
Jae joined Russell-Cooke in 1994 and is now a Partner and Head of the Criminal Litigation Department.
Specialises in all areas of criminal defence work, including cases involving violence especially murder, sexual offences, fraud and extradition.
Jae has a particular interest in cases involving forensic and medical issues. She has developed a niche in advising professionals. She has a proven track record in dealing with high profile cases. Jae is recognised as a leader in her field in Chambers and Partners Directory and has been described as having ‘a sterling reputation for undertaking heavyweight crime and serious fraud work’.
Notable Cases have included;
- R v Sir Stephen Richards: successfully represented Court of Appeal judge.

- R v Jado Pommell – allegations of conspiracy to rob and multiple firearms offences. Acquitted after trial.
-Ralston Wellington v United States of America: decision of duty of disclosure in extradition proceedings (currently petitioning House of Lords).
