Biography
James Sinclair Taylor
Russell-Cooke Partner and head of the Charity Team.
James acts for a very broad range of charities including social care and health bodies, arts and campaigning organisations, regeneration and international aid bodies as well as learned societies, grant makers and many other groups. He also advises local authorities, social enterprises and religious and educational bodies. He has particular expertise in advising on governance, regulatory issues, risk management, contractual and employment issues. Much of his current work involves mergers, group structures, large funding contracts and associated change management issues.
A member of the Charity Law Association, James has also served as a charity trustee on a college, three grant making trusts, arts bodies and medical, housing and information charities. He lectures and contributes to a wide variety of charity publications and is the co-author of Voluntary Sector Legal Handbook.
