Biography

Rose Phelps

Rose studied law at Nottingham University and at post-graduate level at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto in the 1970's, then articled at the predecessor firms of Trowers and Hamlins in Lincoln's Inn and Wimbledon. She worked there for some years after qualifying, then had a career break at home with three small children, with short periods of part-time or locum work at local firms.

From 1990 to 1995 Rose was in charge of the wills, probate and trust work in Jim Fairclough's department at Evill and Coleman, then from 1995-2000 ran her own niche private client practice Rosemary Phelps and Co in Wimbledon. From 2002 onwards she has helped Russell-Cooke and other firms on a locum basis from time to time, while pursuing a degree in landscape architecture and has now joined the firm on a more permanent basis.

Rose is a member of the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners.
