Our specialist team, which is led by a qualified insolvency practitioner, has the expertise to advise on a broad range of restructuring issues, whether acting for insolvency office holders, a company facing financial difficulties or its Directors or creditors.
We can help a company through the maze of issues involved in restructuring and recovery, by way of arrangements with its bankers, creditors, landlord or other stakeholders. We also help in situations in which a company is facing formal insolvency, by way of Administration, Administrative Receivership, Liquidation or a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
We can advise a company or its Directors on their duties under the Companies Act 2006 and the Insolvency Act 1986 when dealing with the day-to-day running of a company in financial difficulty.
Our experience includes dealing with asset sales:
- Acting for office holders in and advising on asset sales by insolvent companies
- Advising purchasers of companies which are subject to a formal Insolvency process
Our property team can advise landlords or tenants where a party to the relationship is faced with financial difficulties or insolvency.
It can also advise on the appointment of an Administrator, Administrative Receiver or LPA Receiver in respect of commercial property.
