The acid attack at Mangle Nightclub in the east end of London on 19 April 2017 has left a number of party-goers seriously injured. For those affected there is the possibility of bringing civil proceedings in negligence as well as lodging claims with the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.

Lucy Lawson, a lawyer in the personal injury team, commented "Our initial enquiries indicate that the club failed to undertake basic security checks. In doing so they didn’t demonstrate reasonable care of the visitors who entered the premises and exposed them to a foreseeable risk of harm.”
