Eva Akins, a specialist in education law, spoke live on BBC Radio London on Tuesday 15 March about the difficulties faced by parents of children with special educational needs (SEN) securing suitable school placements.
The programme featured a severely visually impaired boy whose parents Eva represents in on-going tribunal proceedings. During the interview Eva explained the complex nature of such appeals and the impact these difficult decisions can have on families.
Eva also talked about the reduction in local authority funding and how this may be leading to possible breaches of these children's human rights.
The broadcast is available on the BBC iPlayer.
