Peter Cadman, partner in the regulation team, has recently been re-appointed to the Law Society's Professional Standards & Ethics Committee, a sub-committee of the Regulatory Affairs Board. Having recently completed his three year term, Peter has been re-appointed for a further three years.
Formerly known as the Rules and Ethics Committee (TLS), the committee monitors and reviews the ethical values, professional principles and standards regulating and governing solicitors, their organisations and their areas of practice.
Peter Cadman commented, 'I am honoured and privileged to be asked again to be a member of such an influential Law Society committee.'
This latest appointment is in addition to Peter's involvement in a number of other disciplinary committees that regulate professions, such as being one of the two Law Society Members of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Users Group Committee, Chair of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy Investigation Committee, lay member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants Regulatory Board, Chair of the Investigating Committee of Nurses and Midwifery Council, and lay-member of the Appeals Committee of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
