As the coronavirus, COVID-19, takes hold across the world, we have now moved to remote working to protect our people and our clients.
We have been actively engaged in contingency planning for the spread of COVID-19 since early February. Our priorities are twofold:
- most important is protecting the health of our colleagues and clients and inhibiting the spread of the virus
- continuing to deliver client services of the highest quality and maintaining the quickest possible response times.
We are now set up to help you, your family and your business to get through this crisis.
Health and well-being
Stringent health and hygiene protocols have been in place in our offices for some while. Since the UK Government first recognised that social distancing remains a critical measure in delaying the spread of COVID-19, we have already taken the precautionary step of cancelling or postponing client events for the foreseeable future.
Receptions at our offices in Bedford Row, Kingston-upon-Thames and Putney are now closed. We are no longer accepting visitors to our offices and the majority of our lawyers are working remotely. We are offering clients and contacts to meet remotely via video conferencing technology.
Delivery of client services
We are confident that clients will continue to be well served with limited disruption and delay.
We have tested the robustness of our operating model should the spread of the virus necessitate isolated working for a prolonged period. Our partners and staff are all now fully equipped for remote working and your usual Russell-Cooke adviser is available via their regular contact telephone number and email address.
We are also now advising a number of clients both new and existing on the many legal, organisational and personal implications arising from the spread of the virus.
Should you have any concerns or require assistance in navigating these difficult times, please contact your usual Russell-Cooke adviser, visit our coronavirus hub or make an enquiry.
