In a forceful judgment, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) has sided firmly with a worker and his right to be compensated for untaken annual leave (King v The Sash Window Workshop Limited and another C-214/16).
Alex Bearman appears in PLC Magazine saying that we now have a better idea of what compensation could be due for untaken annual leave to the many taxi drivers, couriers and plumbers, among others, whose employers have wrongly failed to recognise their status as workers.
