Russell-Cooke and Charity Finance Group (CFG) explore the impact of recent legislation in the area of employment status and contracts, and how this will impact charities.

This breakfast briefing will examine how employment status is defined by the law, and what your responsibilities are as an employer, along with the risks of getting it wrong.

The briefing will also outline specific updates on recent case law around self-employed status, typical staff contracts and how to apply employment law to office holders. Jane Klauber and Carla Whalen, in the charity and social business team, will look at an overview of how to manage contracts and employment law in general relating to:

  • self-employed status - recent cases
  • personal service companies - IR35 and public sector
