The two leading legal directories, Legal 500 and Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession, were recently published and Russell-Cooke were once again recognised as leaders in a number of areas.

The firm's growing prominence in the regulatory field was highlighted in Chambers. Four solicitors, Peter Cadman, John Gould, John Weaver and Matt Bosworth, were listed amongst the UK's leading practitioners in professional discipline. The regulation team are described as "pragmatic, no nonsense lawyers, who get to the crux of a case straight away".

The Criminal Litigation team continue to climb the London rankings with department head, Jae Carwardine, described as "extraordinarily dedicated" by Chambers.

Family law was another area where the firm saw improvements in its rankings. Head of the Children Department, Samantha Little, is considered to be one of the three leading lawyers in public law children work in London. She is described in Chambers as being "totally dedicated to her clients". Fiona Read is also noted as a leader in matrimonial finance and private children law.

There was personal recognition for Janice Gardner in the Clinical Negligence field. She joins Deborah Blythe as an acknowledged leader. The department are described as being "astute litigators" and "a thoroughly impressive team".

Russell-Cooke's expertise in property litigation was once again noted with Jason Hunter again being listed amongst London's leading practitioners in this field. Similarly, James Sinclair Taylor and his Charity Team were ranked highly again.

The other areas where the firm's expertise continues to be acknowledged are personal injury, commercial property, contentious trusts & probate, personal tax, trusts & probate and leasehold enfranchisement.
