Russell-Cooke Trust Company director David Biddle, has been appointed Chairman of the Solicitors Benevolent Association (SBA).

The appointment which followed David's retirement as a Partner of the Firm in the summer, sees him take on this important role with the SBA, which is the major legal charity supporting solicitors in England and Wales.

The SBA helps solicitors and their families who are in serious financial need as a result of illness, accident, redundancy or some other misfortune. Increasingly the beneficiaries are young and perhaps prevented from working due to a disabling disease or a stress-related breakdown. Each year, the SBA gives out hundreds of thousands of pounds of vital grants and loans to those in real need of help and support.

More information about the work of the SBA is available on their website.
