Russell-Cooke's property litigation team has secured instructions from Get Living London on East Village, the former athletes' village at London 2012 Olympics.

East Village will deliver more than 2,800 new homes for Londoners set in 75 acres of parklands and open space, with a new school, health centre and community facilities. The development won two awards at this year's London Planning Awards - Best New Place to Live and the Mayor's Award for Planning Excellence.

Get Living London - a joint partnership between Qatari Diar Real Estate Development Company and Delancey - own and manage more than 1,400 private rental homes in the new neighbourhood. The Russell-Cooke team will primarily be helping them with the management and enforcement of their tenancies.

Jason Hunter, partner and head of the property litigation team said 'The team is excited to be part of this commercial project that will help to deliver the London 2012 Olympic legacy. Private rental projects such as this are very prominent at the moment and essential to meet the housing requirements necessary to keep London at the forefront of the economic recovery.'
