Russell-Cooke successfully prosecuted licensees of a North London Pub for illegally showing a Sky Sports football match.

The case, FACT Limited v Murphy and Doyle at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court resulted in the two Defendants being ordered to pay a combined total of fines and costs of £12,000 following the successful private prosecution brought by Russell-Cooke on behalf of FACT Ltd for its members - British Sky Broadcasting.

Russell-Cooke's regulation team has been acting on behalf of FACT (The Federation Against Copyright Theft) and British Sky Broadcasting in relation to the protection of intellectual property rights and copyright for over 10 years. FACT has members throughout the broadcasting community (both in the UK and worldwide) and has instructed Russell-Cooke to carry out private prosecutions on their behalf for over a decade.
