Russell-Cooke has advised land owners Folland Limited on entering into a joint venture with Galliard Homes to enable development of a key generation site in St Werburghs, Bristol.
The new joint venture will transform the former Brooks Laundry site in inner city Bristol into a development providing 102 residential units including affordable homes, new public open space including the enlargement of and improvements to Mina Park, new pedestrian routes and improvements to the surrounding road network. Commercial space will also be developed at the four-acre site, which has been derelict since operations at the laundry ceased in 2007. The development value is in excess of £30 million.
A combined real estate and corporate team led by real estate partner Peter Dawson, acted for Folland Limited in the joint venture negotiations and the transfer of the site to the new joint venture.
