Russell-Cooke's real estate team has advised on the grant of a lease for the new Japan House in Kensington.
The landlord of 99-121 Kensington High Street (site of the former Kensington Roof Gardens) has granted a lease to a company set up by the government of Japan.
The premises, known as 'Japan House', will offer insights into Japan that challenge the usual stereotypes. It will enable the sale of authentic retail products sourced from Japan and act as a showcase for Japanese technology and culture. As well as a shop, the venue will boast a restaurant, a car showroom, a library and an art gallery.
This new London venue is one of three – the other two being in Los Angeles and São Paulo – and launches on Friday, 22 June 2018.
The Russell-Cooke team was led by real estate partner, Arnold Isaacson, with support from Rachael Rigamonti and Kieran Soobadoo and specialist advice from Peter Kitson (construction), Alex Ground (planning) and David Webster (corporate).
