Russell-Cooke’s regulation team acted for UKME (UK Mission Enterprise Ltd), a company that provides assistance and concierge services to the Dubai government and its Royal family.

Matt Bosworth and Peter Cadman led the team after a former UKME employee threatened to disclose confidential information following his dismissal (UK mission enterprise Ltd v Peter Lendvai [2017]).

The threats to release information to the media were in breach of the employee’s contract, which clearly prohibited him from using or disclosing confidential information during or after his employment unless authorised by the company or required by law.

After attempts to resolve the matter with the ex-employee were unsuccessful, the High Court ordered him to pay costs, including an interim sum of £10,000 to be paid within 28 days.

Matt Bosworth, partner and head of the regulation department said “This is the latest matter that shows the team's expertise in reputation management and privacy cases developed over the past twenty years for clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals through to multinational organisations.”
