Acting for an international charity in connection with the acquisition of a new UK headquarters building.  The transaction included:

  • Due diligence on the planning and legal title to the building
  • Advice on and the negotiation in relation to the legal arrangements required in to ensure the carrying out of refurbishment and repair works by the landlord under the terms of an agreement for lease.
  • The negotiation of detailed terms for inclusion in the lease to ensure sufficient flexibility for the disposal of surplus space in the building not only on commercial terms but also on concessionary terms to collaborating and partner charities.
