Acting for an overseas investor in the £41.5 million sale and leaseback, and subsequent financing, of upmarket department store Liberty in London's Regent Street. The deal was exchanged in 10 days and included legal nuances due to the quirky Tudor style premises such as vaults, underground tunnels and two bridges. We also dealt with issues relating to the overseas nature of our client such as the necessary opinion letter. Our experience in working with client's lenders on deals meant we were able to swiftly deal with the legal aspects of the financing.
