We acted for a business consortium objecting to a planning application by a neighbouring land owner to add additional residential stories to an existing building which would have been likely to have caused complaints from new residents against noise from their existing businesses.

The applicant already had a prior approval to change the use of the existing three stories from office to residential so the principle of residential use on the site was already established. We showed that permitting additional residential stories was not in compliance with the development plan and should therefore be refused. The application was refused.
