Russell-Cooke will host two open days on 7 and 16 March 2017 aimed at graduates eligible to apply for a training contract to start in 2019.

Please note applications to attend our 2017 open days are now closed.

At Russell-Cooke, unlike other law firms, we offer services to a mix of commercial, not-for-profit, regulatory and individual clients. Our variety of expertise means we can offer an unusually wide range of experience in areas including high-value commercial property, corporate law, charity, professional regulation, private client, family law as well as dispute resolution.

Lex 100 rates us in a number of categories and we are known for offering challenging but rewarding work and giving our trainees a high level of responsibility. Trainees work in a friendly and supportive environment that looks to encourage their own unique development.

Graduates attending our open days will have the opportunity to meet experienced practitioners from a variety of departments and will meet and chat with our current trainee solicitors.

Alison Regan, our recruitment partner, comments on the success of our previous open days, “Our open days are intended to give prospective trainee solicitors a glimpse into life as a solicitor at Russell-Cooke. Experience has shown that what attendees wanted more than anything was to speak to our fee-earners about their day-to-day work, and to trainees about their training contract experience at Russell-Cooke. We’ve had fantastic feedback about our open days and would encourage applications from anyone in a position to apply for a training contract.”

Renowned for our breadth of work, unstuffy nature and high retention rate, Russell-Cooke is excellent preparation for a successful legal career and this is a good opportunity to meet practitioners at the firm and discuss life at our firm.

James Myles, trainee in the personal injury team, shares his experience at Russell-Cooke, “As a trainee, I have had the opportunity to train in a diverse range of areas, engaging directly with clients from the beginning. This has given me the chance to work with both individuals and businesses on a variety of legal matters. I have been given the responsibility of running my own files but this has always been within a supportive environment where help is always available. My experience of training has put me in the best possible position before qualification.”
