Georgina is in an associate in the children and education team.

Georgina works exclusively on education law matters which include special educational needs such as:

  • securing education, health and care needs assessments
  • appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal against local authority decisions not to conduct needs assessments or issue an education, health and care plan and when the contents of a plan are inappropriate

She also advises on:

  • school transport
  • complaints
  • bullying
  • admissions
  • exclusions
  • Equality Act claims

Georgina was inspired to practice education law by children in her family who have special educational needs. She understands that every child is an individual and one size does not fit all when it comes to education.

Georgina recognises that you, as a parent or carer, know your child best and that you carry the weight of the challenges they face.

She firmly believes that every child deserves the opportunity to fulfil their potential and is committed to working alongside clients to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children they care for.

Georgina's commitment extends into her free time during which she volunteers for the national special educational needs charity IPSEA.

Client feedback:

"This is an amazing result... So sad that we can't turn you into an app (?!) for all the parents and SEN children who are left struggling in the dark with no support or hope."

"Thank you very much for the dedication and long hours you put into helping us to secure a viable plan for J. I appreciate there was a lot of work but your attention to detail and determination to find a solution mean that J has a stepping stone to a more rewarding life."

"I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and support in securing my son's EHCP and getting More House as the named school as well as securing the transport. I wouldn't have been able to do this without you. He is very happy at More House and is loving going on the bus"
