Nigel is Deputy Senior Partner and head of the conveyancing team. He specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing, with particular expertise in acting for house builders and developers effecting both small and large scale developments of both leasehold and freehold properties.
He is frequently involved in the negotiation of conditional contracts with detailed planning and overage provisions, and in implementing primary and secondary funding arrangements. He also has experience in the acquisition and disposal of commercial leases.
Nigel qualified in 1981 before joining Russell-Cooke in 1986.
- Acted for a client in relation to a development agreement and complex lease structures for the building of flats on the top of an existing block
- Acted as an expert in the case of Patel –v- Daybells, a reported case dealing with solicitors’ undertakings in respect of conveyancing transactions
- Acted as an expert in various mortgage fraud cases
- Studied law at Cambridge University
