About Kate

Going through any family breakdown is an extremely hard and difficult time. My aim is to fully support a client using my specialist expertise and knowledge to make the process as direct, constructive and beneficial as possible but to also be responsive, proactive and proportionate, acting in a way that gets a client the best result so that they can move forward positively when it is over.

Kate has considerable expertise in acting for barristers, solicitors and clients in the financial sector. Much of the work she does involves complex financial structures and foreign jurisdictions with off-shore assets and/or international lifestyles.

Kate has substantial expertise built up over many years in negotiating pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and in resolving financial settlements for couples following the breakdown of their marriage or civil partnership.

She has a specialist niche practice in advising on disputes between property owners, being either family members or unmarried couples, and often acts for family members who need to intervene in the divorce of their children, parents or siblings. Finally Kate undertakes complex children work such as leave to remove application.

Kate's approach is direct and productive. She looks for the most effective and constructive result either by finding commercial solutions or by using her experience and skill to obtain the best tactical advantage.

Kate trained as a Resolution Together solicitor (a one lawyer model).

Kate qualified as a solicitor in 2003, joined Russell-Cooke in 2005 and became a partner in 2012.

Kate Hamilton is a superb solicitor. She exudes authority and is pragmatic and results driven.
