Russell-Cooke partner and head of the regulation team, Peter Cadman, has been appointed as a lay-member of the Appeals Committee of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
CIMA is the world's largest professional body of management accountants, with 203,000 members and students in 173 countries.
As a lay-member of the Appeals Committee, Peter will consider appeals made by CIMA members or students who have been the subject of a complaint, and appeals made by complainants, against decisions reached by the CIMA investigation committee and the disciplinary committee.
This latest appointment is in addition to Peter's involvement in a number of other disciplinary committees that regulate professions, such as Chair of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy Investigation Committee, lay member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants Regulatory Board, member of the Law Society's Rules and Ethics Committee and Chair of the Investigating Committee of Nurses and Midwifery Council.
