Russell-Cooke's Peter Cadman, partner and head of the regulation team, has been appointed by the Law Society to be one of the two Law Society Members of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Users Group Committee.
The Committee's role is to provide a forum for improving efficiency and consistency in Tribunal and cross-party case management and to assist in building understanding between stakeholders.
The Committee was established in April 2013 at the initiation of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and is chaired by Andrew Spooner, President of the Tribunal.
This latest appointment is in addition to Peter's involvement in a number of other disciplinary committees that regulate professions, such as Chair of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy Investigation Committee, lay member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants Regulatory Board, member of the Law Society's Rules and Ethics Committee, Chair of the Investigating Committee of Nurses and Midwifery Council, and lay-member of the Appeals Committee of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
