Russell-Cooke has made two promotions to partner effective 1 July 2017.

Arshoo Singh joined the firm’s private client team in 2012 and has extensive experience in a wide range of matters including tax and succession planning, complex wills, trusts, administration of cross-border and contentious estates and international capacity issues. Adopting a multi-disciplinary approach, she has a significant and diverse UK and international client base.

Her clients include individuals and their families with inherited wealth, investors and property developers. Arshoo also advises professional administrators and trustees on disputes between beneficiaries before they become litigious and has also been appointed by the court as a tax expert for both parties in family proceedings.

Arshoo is a member of both The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and The Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists. She has also been recognised as a leading individual by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers.

Chris Rowse joined the firm in 2014 and specialises in providing technical and strategic advice to charities and social businesses on a wide range of governance and commercial matters. His clients include several national ‘household name’ charities, as well as smaller voluntary bodies and he provides support to a number of ‘in-house’ lawyers working in charities.

Chris has been recognised by The Legal 500, which quoted clients as saying he is “bright, thoughtful and commercial, and has good attention to detail”. Chris is one of thirteen lawyers in the firm who work exclusively for charities and other not-for-profit organisations.

Managing Partner, Jonathan Thornton, said “Arshoo and Chris are great examples of Russell-Cooke attracting specialist expertise and then further developing the skills and capabilities of those lawyers. Their client focused approach and easy style of working have been recognised by both clients and colleagues in the private client and charity and social business teams”.

These two promotions bring the firm's partnership to a total of 61.
