On Thursday 22nd October, Katherine Chambers and Emily Joss hosted Russell-Cooke's annual trainee seat presentation to the firm's future trainees.
For the first time, the event was held remotely via Zoom. The event had a very successful turnout with 18 future trainees participating. The trainees (and future trainees) also had the opportunity to hear from the new Graduate Recruitment Partner, Rebecca Fisher.
There were 11 presentations covering property litigation, real estate, crime, corporate and commercial, commercial litigation, TED, insolvency, PI and clinical negligence, charities and family.
The presentation evening provides future and current trainees with an insight into the type of work different teams do as well as the structure of the team and likely clientele. It is a very useful event that helps trainees to decide what seats they might be interested in.
Following the presentations, breakout rooms were set up which consisted of a small groups made up of future/current trainees, NQs and partners (see example picture!). These rooms switched around participants every 10 minutes to replicate the networking side of this event. Despite the absence of wine and crisps, the event received excellent feedback!
