Acting in connection with the estate of an English national domiciled in England & Wales who died owning a French property in his sole name leaving a share to his minor child (also English domiciled). We advised in connection with the enforceability of the Will in France and its applicability in the light of the French legal reserve.

We dealt with an application made to the High Court, Chancery Division, for an Order to be made for an authority to sell the property on behalf of the minor child. We dealt with the French and English aspects to ensure that the French documentation was acceptable to the English Court and that the terms of the eventual Order could actually be implemented from a practical perspective in France.
