A new charity governance code has been published. Supported by the Charity Commission, the code sets out the principles and recommended practice for good charity governance. Charities are encouraged to meet the principles and outcomes of the code by applying recommended practice or explaining what they have done.
In this seminar Chris Rowse, partner in the charity and social business team, will cover:
- an overview of the new code
- new recommendations - including limits on overall trustee terms and external governance reviews for larger charities every three years
- examples for good practice
- steps you can take to make sure your charity complies with the code
