It is with great sadness that we confirm that our friend and colleague Paolo Sidoli, a partner in our regulatory litigation team, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday evening at the age of 51. It is believed that he suffered a heart attack at home. He leaves a wife and a daughter and our thoughts and sympathies are with them at this very difficult time.
Richard Coleman QC paid a tribute to Paolo in the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal on hearing of his death:
“We got the sad news of Paolo Sidoli’s death last night. It is fitting that we got it here in the Tribunal because, as many people will know, he was a great servant of this tribunal’s work over many years and a servant to the maintenance of professional standards. I know I speak for everyone who knew him when I say that he will be greatly missed.”
We will provide further information in due course as to how Paolo’s friends, colleagues and contacts can join us in remembering him.
