We acted for H in relation to a disputed Deputyship application. H had applied to be appointed as Deputy for his Uncle, P, who had lost the capacity to manage his own affairs.

H's sister responded to object to the application and requested that she and H be appointed as joint Deputies for P.

The matter went to a hearing outside London and we instructed a local barrister to attend on behalf of H. The Court of Protection decided that an independent Deputy should be appointed as the parties were unable to agree.
