The advent of social media has made it even more important for lawyers to be media savvy and to have strategies in place for protecting clients both during and after a trial.

Speaking with the New Law Journal, partner Matt Bosworth discusses how lawyers can help clients deal with the media, whether by monitoring coverage or putting strategies in place to help clients deal with issues brought up by press coverage during litigation.

As to how the media coverage should impact on the litigation preparation he says: "it should inform the approach but not determine it."
