Low-flying planes - The Sunday Times
"We have lived in the same area for 30 years. In the past 12 months low-flying planes landing on a private air field owned by a local lord has blighted our lives. The planes fly low and continuously, especially on nice sunny days when we want to enjoy our garden. Last year I did email my local MP, who contacted the estate. We had a few days of peace.
What can we do, because numerous calls to the estate manager have ended with no resolution."
Russell-Cooke partner Ed Cracknell answers a reader's question in the Home Help section of the Sunday Times and explains that there are no hard-and-fast rules about what represents a substantial disturbance, and that aircraft disturbance cases have an additional hurdle.
Low-flying planes is available to read on the Times website via subscription.
