Russell-Cooke advises on lease for School of Rock’s first UK location
Russell-Cooke has advised on the lease of the School of Rock’s first UK location, which is set to open in Twickenham in the London Borough of Richmond in September 2025.
Founded in 1998 in Philadelphia, the internationally recognised music school, which inspired the 2003 Jack Black film School of Rock, operates more than 400 locations across more than 20 countries. The Twickenham school will deliver music programmes for children, adolescents and adults, with classes in vocals, guitar, drums, keyboard and bass.
The firm’s real estate, planning and construction team that advised on the transaction was led by partner Kathrin McClintock and supported by associate Connor Burford. Following the success of the Twickenham site, the team is now advising on a second location as the School of Rock continues its expansion in the UK.
It’s been a real pleasure working with the School of Rock on securing their first UK site. The brand’s energy and ambition have made this a fantastic project to be part of, and we look forward to continuing to support them as they grow.
Russell-Cooke has been a valuable partner in helping us bring School of Rock to the UK. Their real estate team combined commercial insight with practical advice, making the process of securing our first site smooth and efficient. We’re looking forward to continuing our work with them as we grow and open new locations.
