Russell-Cooke associate elected to Law Society Council of England and Wales
Following a successful election result in July 2024, private client associate has been formally appointed, as of 9 October 2024, to her new role as Council Member for Junior Solicitors (0-6 years’ PQE) on The Law Society Council of England and Wales.
During her three-year tenure on the Law Society Council, Russell-Cooke associate will contribute to the strategic direction of decisions made by the Law Society of England and Wales, and will specifically focus on issues affecting junior solicitors (0-6 years’ PQE). She will be working alongside five other newly-elected and appointed Council Members for the Junior Solicitors (0-6 years’ PQE) constituency.
The Law Society Council consists of around 97 seats, with 49 members representing 42 geographical constituencies and 48 members representing work practice and characteristic constituencies. The Law Society is the independent professional body for solicitors in England and Wales, governed by its members, who are all qualified solicitors in England and Wales.
It is a fantastic opportunity to represent junior solicitors and make an impact on the profession. I have no doubt that she will advocate for the needs and concerns of junior solicitors across England and Wales with passion and dedication. I look forward to seeing the positive change she will help drive during her tenure.
