Russell-Cooke is delighted to welcome commercial property lawyer Mark Kendrick to the firm. Mark joins as a consultant in the real estate team.

Mark brings with him well over three decades of experience advising a range of corporates on commercial property matters, specialising in corporate HQ relocations both in London and elsewhere.

Mark qualified in 1985 and over the decades he has built up a thriving practice acting for commercial tenants/occupiers and commercial landlords, with a primary focus on tenants. Mark also advises high net worth individuals on a range of residential property matters as well as advising clients on issues stemming from the Leasehold Reform Act (s.42). Many of Mark’s clients have been with him for decades and come from a range of sectors including financial services, energy and defence.

This appointment follows a period of growth for the Russell-Cooke real estate team, which is ranked Band 1 in Chambers. Commercial real estate consultant Simon Catt joined in late 2021 followed by senior associate Chris Barkley. High-value residential property specialist Simon Mapstone joined as a consultant with his team on 31 January 2022.

Mark Kendrick says: “I’m delighted to be joining the real estate team at Russell-Cooke at a time when the sector is thriving once more. I am particularly looking forward to getting to know colleagues from across the firm, such as those in the property litigation, planning and construction teams, who can help me to service the varied needs of my longstanding clients.”

Real estate partner Matt Garrod comments: “Mark is a highly respected real estate lawyer whose experience and relationships will be an asset to the firm. He brings a focus on the commercial tenant side to enhance our existing breadth of experience that includes both landlords and tenants and his experience in acting on HQ relocations complements our own experience on the letting of iconic buildings across London.”
