About Peter
As a lawyer with extensive experience of wide-ranging contentious matters, my primary aim is to help clients dispassionately optimise the situation to help them obtain a cost-effective commercial resolution. In any given situation, this involves knowing the merits and weighing the risks, by gaining a full understanding from the clients of the facts and what their ultimate goals are.
Peter is a senior associate in the restructuring and insolvency team and advises on both corporate and personal insolvency law issues. His clients include directors, companies, insolvency practitioners, individuals threatened by bankruptcy, together with creditors looking to enforce contractual rights and/or judgments against financially distressed companies/individuals.
Peter also has extensive and wide-ranging commercial and civil fraud litigation experience before the English courts and London seat arbitral tribunals (various rules), as well as in the courts of common-law offshore jurisdictions in the British Virgin Islands (“BVI”) and Bermuda.
Another area of his practice is professional negligence claims were in the past he has acted for the Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund on defending complex cases brought against leading barristers.
Peter qualified in 2004 and joined Russell-Cooke in 2026 from a well-known high net worth private client focused international ‘City’ law firm. He also previously worked in the BVI and is admitted there (now non-practising). Such experience has led to him being involved in dual (and multi) jurisdiction disputes, with recent work including involvement in successful high profile and complex judgment enforcement proceedings for a client against a sovereign state.
