About Zarhine

My background in education and my personal experience have given me an in-depth understanding of the barriers faced by young people with special educational needs, and the exhausting process parents and carers have to go through. I feel passionately about supporting our clients to secure the right provision that will enable their children to thrive.

During Zarhine’s 10 years’ experience as a teacher and personal experience of navigating the complex SEN system, she was motivated to challenge the injustice she observed to be endemic.

Zarhine is extensively involved in running and supporting a number of community-based parent groups, including those who face additional barriers to access services.

Specialises in working on cases involving:

  • Special Educational Needs
  • disability discrimination claims
  • judicial review
  • school admission appeals
  • exclusion appeals
  • complaints to schools, local authorities and various regulators
  • transport

Prior to joining Russell-Cooke, Zarhine worked in the voluntary sector advising parents about the EHC needs assessment process.

  • Obtained a GDL from the University of Law, achieving a distinction
