Introduction and overview to Spanish relocation tax and legal planning advice

If you are thinking about relocating from Spain to the UK or vice versa, we offer you specialist bilingual expertise considering the different legal and tax implications in both jurisdictions.

How our Spanish solicitors and tax advisors can help you

We advise on:

  • Tax residency analysis. Spain and the UK have different tax residency rules and tax years. Timings can be crucial when relocating between jurisdictions from a tax optimisation perspective.
  • Pre-emigration and pre-immigration tax planning, from a UK and Spanish perspective. Analysis of current wealth and income structures and any changes needed from a tax efficiency perspective before relocation.
  • Application of special tax regimes, such as the Spanish expatriate tax regime, the so-called Beckham Law Regime, or the UK Foreign Income and Gains Tax Regime.
  • Analysis of the new legal and tax system applicable to your specific circumstances.

We offer an Anglo-Spanish approach with unique tailor-made solutions for your specific circumstances, with access to an extensive network of contacts (Spanish Notaries, Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers…).
