Russell-Cooke has won Law Firm of the Year: The Independents award at The Lawyer Awards 2025.
The win follows a period of growth over the past five years – up 42%, with turnover exceeding £50m in FY24 – and recognised the consistent quality and diversity of the firm’s caseload, client-first approach, and commitment to the delivery of legal aid and doing business responsibly.
The firm was one of ten firms shortlisted for the award.
Personal injury senior associate Nimmisha Aslam was also shortlisted for an Associate of the Year Award, having earlier this year secured a place in The Lawyer’s prestigious Hot 100 listings, both arising as a result of her work representing victims of the Grenfell tragedy .
The prestigious awards recognise leading firms and lawyers across the full breadth of legal services. Winners are chosen by a panel comprised of barristers, private practitioners and in-house lawyers, and were announced at an awards ceremony in London on 17 June.
